Often when you are travelling overseas you are entering a vastly different climate to the one you have left behind. This can mean that not only are you packing clothes that have been hidden at the back of your closet since last season, but you are also taking with you bold trends that don’t translate into stylish pieces overseas. I have always found that this is the case when packing swimwear as Summer brings with it bright prints, florals and contrasting colour combinations. For this reason, I suggest packing a basic black bikini that will stand the test of time and also double as an undergarment with sheer clothing once you hit the bar. You might be surprised that I am not suggesting white pieces for Summer but your dark bikini bottoms will thank me after sun-baking on the pebbled beaches and silty sand that remote locations bring.
TIP: To make your LBB stand out from the crowd look for styles that incorporate different textures like mesh, frilled layers, cut-out sections or metal links.
